Skin Cancer Reconstruction
Facial skin cancers are unfortunately one of the more common cancers and their rate of diagnosis is on the rise. Fortunately, when identified and treated early there is minimal long term risk. Smaller lesions can frequently be closed directly but when critical structures, such as the eyes, nose or mouth, are nearby small “flaps” maybe required to prevent distortion and provide the best outcome.
Dr. Butz can perform the removal of the lesion and the closure himself but for more complex lesions may prefer to coordinate with a Moh’s surgeon.
