General Postoperative Activity Restriction:

Post procedure activity restrictions are in place to give your body the time it needs to heal properly by decreasing the risk of wound healing issues, fluid collections or bleeding problems. For most procedures, you should take it easy for the at least 3-5 days. Avoid all strenuous activities and any bending, lifting or straining. This is frequently extended to 10-14 for more invasive procedures and up to 4 weeks abdominoplasty.

Pools and water sports should be avoided until all of your incisions are completely healed.

In general, when you get back to your exercise regimen it’s best to ease into it. You may be a little sore and it will take time to get back to your baseline strength. Don’t become frustrated but listen to your body and take things slow.
